Many years ago, they first met in the hospital. The three firefighters’ pals all became fathers on the same day while they were in the hospital. We refer to situations of this nature that will definitely leave you speechless when we talk about coincidences. The three were destined to experience many emotions—including fatherhood—together.
Kyle Dean, Kyle Frederick, and Michael Irvine have been close friends for a very long time. At a fire station in Virginia, all three are employed. They frequently made jokes about becoming parents on the same day. And they had no idea that this could actually materialize.
But coincidences in life happen. There are sᴀᴅ and ᴛʀᴀɢɪᴄ coincidences and others that make us smile, as happened to Michael Irvine, Kyle Dean and Kyle Frederick, who became fathers for the first time on the same day in the same hospital.
The three firefighters who work in the state of Virginia, in the United States of America, were lucky enough to share ᴘᴀᴛᴇʀɴɪᴛʏ on the same day, as told by the Washington Post in a story that soon went around the world. In fact, their three wives practically became pregnant at the same time. And this would already be a nice coincidence: they ᴊᴏᴋᴇᴅ about the fact that they would meet for the birth on the same day in the same hospital.
What was a ᴊᴏᴋᴇ to them has become reality. Although the alleged birth dates of the three women were different, the children decided to come into this world on the exact same day.
Kyle Dean, one of the firefighters, said, “We were surprised that we all ended up there at the same time (…) We ᴊᴏᴋᴇᴅ that we could play cornhole in the hall, as usual.”
The first to arrive at the hospital was Meagan Irvine, wife of Michael Irvine, who gave birth to her fourth child at 3:25 am. Then came the turn of Jamie Frederick, wife of Kyle Frederick, who gave birth at around 8 pm the same day. Finally, she joined the happy event Andrea Nunley, wife of Dean, who gave birth to Colton Tate Dean.
“We all knew we were going to have kids and we all knew we were going to take ᴘᴀᴛᴇʀɴɪᴛʏ leave at the same time (…) but the moment we go to the hospital and have our kids one after the other is something that happens by itself.”
“Circumstances have really prepared for everyone to be there together.” This is Frederick’s comment on the coincidence that it took them all together to welcome their children to the same hospital and at the same time. Surely an uncommon coincidence: they weren’t expecting all this hype, of course. And today they say that all this attention shouldn’t go to them, but to the three wives who have done the ʜᴀʀᴅᴇsᴛ work.
