The model, a mother of three, discusses new mothers’ issues on Instagram. After giving birth to her first child, Isaac, Ashley Graham welcomed the twins Malachi and Roman in January. In order to give the two newborns all the love and milk they require, the model is defying the customary exhaustion experienced by new mothers.
On Friday, the 34-year-old posted a selfie to Instagram as she worked to simultaneously breastfeed the two infants. “Tired. however, we’re here “She added writing to the photograph.
The supermodel and her husband, Justin Ervin, welcomed their two daughters on January 7. Ashley has never been shy about discussing her breastfeeding difficulties and other challenges she faces as a mom of three on social media.
Graham just last month said she learned to tandem feed his boys, not without discomfort. The operation takes “a few weeks of trial and error” and “many tears” before the two begin to bond properly.
The model shared a snap to her Instagram Stories, showing her ‘normal breastfeeding position’, sitting in a chair with both babies spread across her. Ashley was already mom to Isaac when she gave birth to the twins, but while breastfeeding with the firstborn was easy, requiring only “a day or two”, the same was not the case for the newcomers.
In a recent interview, Graham was candid about the aftermath of pregnancy that every woman goes through but doesn’t share. For example, “how your body changes when you’re pregnant, and the stretch marks and the loose skin, the formula, the breastfeeding,” she shares.
Graham also adds the factor of how people tell you to feed your child. She is emphatic in her message that every mother has the right to choose whether breastfeeding is right for her, regardless of society’s expectations.
