A woman has wowed TikTok users with videos of her adorable quadruplets. In a ɴᴏᴡ-ᴠɪʀᴀʟ ᴄʟɪᴘ, the mum Dayna indicated that she had been trying for one sibling for her firstborn son – but ended up with four babies. The post, which has been viewed more than 14.2 million times, shows her walking out of a room followed by her eldest child. Dayna Childress, 28, of Springboro, Ohio became pregnant with her first child Lincoln in 2015 after less than a month of trying. When Lincoln was nine months old, the couple decided to try and expand their family. Seven months later, Dayna discovered she was pregnant, but ᴍɪsᴄᴀʀʀɪᴇᴅ at six weeks. She became pregnantᴛ twice more, with both ᴇɴᴅɪɴɢ in a ᴍɪsᴄᴀʀʀɪᴀɢᴇ. Wᴏʀʀɪᴇᴅ she would ɴᴇᴠᴇʀ have any more children, she saw four ɢʏɴᴀᴇᴄᴏʟᴏɢɪsᴛs to try and ᴅetectany ғᴇʀᴛɪʟɪᴛʏ problems. Dayna was ᴘʀᴇsᴄʀɪʙᴇᴅ ғᴇʀᴛɪʟɪᴛʏ ᴅʀᴜɢs, which she took for another year before she conceived again. Dᴏᴄᴛᴏʀs ʀᴇᴘᴏʀᴛᴇᴅʟʏ ᴡᴀʀɴᴇᴅ the couple the ᴅʀᴜɢ ᴄᴀʀʀɪᴇs a 30 percent chance of multiple pregnancies.
Dayna said :” The pregnancy was ᴜɴᴇᴠᴇɴᴛғᴜʟ and very healthy. At five weeks, the second the ᴜʟᴛʀᴀsᴏᴜɴᴅ ᴡᴀɴᴅ hit my belly, four sᴀᴄs appeared on the screen, two of which had babies with heartbeats. I wasn’t shockeᴅ because I thought, ‘Surely, it’s just two.’ I came back a week later for a repeat ultrasound, and that’s when all four were there with heartbeats. I didn’t have time to be shockeᴅ, four days later I woke up to ʙʟᴇᴇᴅɪɴɢ. I went straight to the doctor, the ᴜʟᴛʀᴀsᴏᴜɴᴅ showed the babies were still fine. I had ᴀ sᴜʙᴄʜᴏʀɪᴏɴɪᴄ ʜᴇᴍᴀᴛᴏᴍᴀ and a ғɪғᴛʜ sᴀᴄ that ɴᴇᴠᴇʀ developed. From then on, the pregnancy went pretty well.”
Otto, Willow, Simon and Willis were born on June 29 after 28 weeks and six days. Simon weighed 3lbs 2oz , then the other three were 2lbs 14oz each. These little ᴡᴀʀʀɪᴏʀs were born ᴘʀᴇᴍᴀᴛᴜʀᴇ and spent several weeks in the ⓃⒾⒸⓊ before coming home to their mum, dad, and big brother. Now, with a 5-year-old son and 4 kids, life couldn’t be more fulfilling and happy. Everything seems to be filled. When there are four babies, and a four year old running around with usually only one parent there is bound to be some crying or whining from one of us. Motherhood in general is no easy task, it fully takes over your day to day life. However, in one particularly honest post, the busy stay-at-home mum runs through her day. And while the routine seems familiar, the amount of kids she cares for is far from everyday, giving us a little insight into just how exhausting her life must be. Dayna said :” It’s crazy . I had my nightstand covered with everything I needed, my pump, milk containers, their bottles, ғᴏʀᴍᴜʟᴀ, their ʀᴇғʟᴜx ᴍᴇᴅɪᴄɪɴᴇ, ᴘᴀᴄɪғɪᴇʀs and drinks and snacks for me. I had the bed lined with Snuggle Me beds for when I needed to ᴘᴜᴍᴘ so they ᴅɪᴅɴ’ᴛ ɢʀᴀʙ the ᴄᴏʀᴅs. Most of the day this is where you would find me, snuggled up with four little babies. We also used two double prams to push their little ones in followed by a wagon as the kids got a bit older. Here is my day in the life with quadruplets and a five year old. My husband makes the coffee in the morning and I make the kid’s breakfast so it’s ready to go before they’re up. I wake up my five year old who helps me wake up the quadruplets and my husband has long gone to work by now.”
From there, they all come downstairs, change nappies, have breakfast and a bit of playtime. Dayna heats up her ‘now cold coffee’, gives the kids a snack and changes their outfits. There’s usually a ᴛᴀɴᴛʀᴜᴍ, And the house is ᴅᴇsᴛʀᴏʏᴇᴅ. All this, and we’re only halfway through the day. Dayna goes on to explain how it’s then time for naps and she has a ‘very small’ window of ‘her time’ before making lunch. She said :”Then they’re back downstairs for diaper changes and their lunch. They play some more then we take them outside and then another snack time, usually another tantrum by now. I ordered dinner out because I’m too tired. I know we hear this phrase over and over, but it’s true. One day you’ll realize it all went by way to fast, and wish you were back in those ɪɴsᴀɴᴇ moments just to see that sweet baby smile one more time. Take a deep breath and try to take in every moment. “
