UK’s Largest Family To Welcome 21st Baby

The largest family in the United Kingdom is set to get much larger. Sue Radford announced Monday that she is expecting her 21st child, just months after she and her husband Noel promised their 20th kid would be their last. Sue, 43, said it would be wonderful to finish on a “beautiful even number” after giving birth to her 11th son Archie in September. However, she confirmed she is pregnant with a baby girl in a video message broadcast on the family’s YouTube account. She also shared a photo of the scan on her Instagram account.

“We can’t wait to welcome you into the family, lovely little one,” Sue and Noel, 47, from Morecambe, Lancashire, posted online. As they returned home from the scan, the couple announced the gender of their newest kid in a video. To celebrate, they launched pink paper streamers into the air, surrounded by their children. “I honestly can’t believe it,” Sue remarked, holding up the scan photo and her baby bulge. Normally, I have a good idea of what gender the baby will be. I honestly believed it would be a boy. We’re just stunned.”

“It was bound to end at some time,” Noel remarked after Archie was born. This, we both believe, is it. In some ways, I’m sorry, but we can now go on and enjoy the kids.” He got a ᴠᴀsᴇᴄᴛᴏᴍʏ while Sue was pregnant with her ninth child, but had it reversed when they decided they wanted more children. Sue was 14 years old when the couple, who met as youngsters, had their first kid, Chris, who is now 29 years old. They married and moved into their first house after refusing to put him up for adoption. Sue gave birth to their second child, Sophie, who is now 24 years old when she was 17 years old.

Chloe, 22, Jack, 21, Daniel, 19, Luke, 17, Millie, 16, Katie, 15, James, 14, Ellie, 13, Aimee, 12, Josh, 10, Max, nine, Tillie, seven, Oscar, six, Casper, five, Hallie, two, Phoebe, 22 months, and Archie, eight months, make up the remainder of the brood. Alfie, the couple’s son, was sᴛɪʟʟʙᴏʀɴ at 23 weeks in 2014. The pair appeared on the Channel 4 program 16 Kids And Counting in 2013. Sue and Noel became grandparents in 2012 when Sophie was born. She has three children with her spouse, Joe Broadley. The Radfords reside in a ten-bedroom Victorian mansion worth £240,000 that was once a care facility. Radford’s Pie Company owners Sue and Noel acquired the property 11 years ago. They live on Noel’s £50,000-a-year income and get no government assistance other than £170 a week in child benefit. They take pleasure in the fact that they do not use credit cards or financial arrangements. Every year, they take a vacation overseas and set aside £100 for birthday gifts and up to £250 for Christmas gifts. Noel returns home about 7.45 a.m. every day after an early start at the pie firm bakery to straighten out the kids and get them to daycare and school.

Six of the children attend the same elementary school, which is within a 10-minute drive from the residence. Five of the siblings are in high school. Noel transports them in a minibus, which is permitted to utilize bus lanes because it carries more than nine passengers. Sue’s three youngest children are still at home with her.
