Premature Twins Holding Hands Take Internet By Storm

Anthea Jackson-Rushford of Melbourne, Australia, gave birth to two preterm twins on January 4. In a viral video with almost 10 million views, the small babies warmed everyone’s hearts by holding hands on their father’s chest. “It’s almost as if he’s saying, ‘I’ve got you,'” the new parents explained. The twins, Kristiana and Kristian, weighed slightly under a kilo apiece when they were delivered at 28 weeks and 1 day. The video shows the small cherubs grasping each other’s hands as if to say, ‘It’ll be all right.’

Anthea has been uploading photographs of the twins holding hands after the video went viral.

They can’t seem to quit holding hands, as you can see!!

She has been providing images and updates on the kids since they were born in the hopes that other parents in a similar situation will feel “comfortable in knowing that anything is possible today and your babies will be just fine!”

“We understand that seeing our twins with tubes may be upsetting, but they are premature newborns, so it is reasonable and natural. I’m posting photographs and videos because it brings hope to all parents out there that they, too, are doing just great! “on Facebook, she stated. “When we were told we could be ᴘʀᴇᴍ, I googled like a crazy person seeking for hope. As a mother facing the potential of a ᴘʀᴇᴛᴇʀᴍ1 baby, I’d want to witness this type of optimism “she said.

And, judging by how many people have seen the twins’ video, she appears to have succeeded in her lovely endeavor.
