Briana and Jordan Driskell certainly got more than they bargained for when Briana gave birth to five adorable babies in May. Almost three months later, the Driskells decided to stage a photoshoot to show off their new bundles of joy, and photographer Ashley Childress captured every second of it.
The Driskell quints — Dakota, Zoey, Hollyn, Asher, and Gavin — were born May 2 at the University of Kentucky Chandler Hospital, when Driskell was in her 28th week of pregnancy.
Brianna Driskell said her mother and mother-in-law have been regular helpers, as well as other family members and close friends.
“We have to have a lot of help,” she said. “It definitely takes a village to raise five children.”
Amazingly, they slept through most of the photoshoot, which took about 5 1/2 hours.
Childress, of Sweetlilpics by Ashley, said a noise machine and keeping her studio very warm — even running heaters in the area — helped.
Childress says infants already have distinct personalities. Zoey, who wears pink in the photos, is the smallest and the feistiest. Hollyn, in yellow, was the most relaxed. Meanwhile, first-time mom Briana helped Childress make sure everything was perfect. “Briana joked that she’s very type-A with her kids, with everything. But you sort of have to be that way to be the parent of that many babies,” said she. “You need someone in control to say ‘this is how it’s gonna be.’”
The cuteness of five snoozing newborns generated plenty of interest online, and the photos were featured in US Weekly as “the best thing you will see this week.”
