20 weeks pregnant with baby 10 so Satu thought it would be a nice milestone to capture in a sibling age update. Satu Nordling and husband Andreas run a household of 11 and they are parenting 9 adorable children between the ages of four months and 12 years. They have been married for 12 years and are currently renovating their dream home where their dream family can live, with 9 beautiful children. Nicole 12, Vanessa 10, twin boys Jonathan and Danilo 10 (only 9 months younger than big sister Vanessa) Olivia 7, Kevin 6, Celina 5, Isabelle 2 and little Melanie 3 months old.
Satu said :” I love my family with all my heart. My kids are everything to me. Even when I was little, I imagined a big family. I’ve spent the last 13 years getting pregnant. Everyone thinks pregnancy is easy. But after not long before my first pregnancy, at ᴀ Fᴇʀᴛɪʟɪᴛʏ ᴄʟɪɴɪᴄ, I was even told that I would ɴᴇᴠᴇʀ become a mother. But the man’s sᴜᴘᴘᴏʀᴛ was priceless. Now, Andreas was very Satu. Children’s smiles and love are the best reward.”
Fortunately, when Satu always has the encouragement and sᴜᴘᴘᴏʀᴛ of her husband. The mother of 9 children shared that: “In addition to one baby still in the cradle – 4-month-old Melania, 12-year-old Nicole, 11-year-old Vanessa, 10-year-old twins Jonathan and Danila, 7-year-old Olivia, 6-year-old Kevin, 5-year-old Selin and 2-year-old Isabelle are running. Despite the fact that all the children are cute and healthy, Andreas is loving and understanding. But sometime, some days i feel ᴄʀᴀᴢʏ, no matter how prepared I thought I was. Most of the time I handle it by putting on some music or just go outside with the kids. I am a perfectionist and I have to have our home clean and nice. So, I must have a lot of love, routines, rules, and respect for kids.”
The mother of the family shares the daily chores she has to do: “I get up at 6:30, change diapers, make breakfast, get the 5 kids ready for school, do their hair. When I go home, I work for 4. The kids are ready, clean the kitchen, do the laundry and dishes, vacuum the house and just clean up. The kids play, I make lunch, and do more laundry. Clean up after lunch, put the two kids down for a nap, the kids come home from school, give them something to eat, help with their homework, go out to play, go to the market, fold the clothes, prepare for dinner at noon the kids are playing. My husband comes home from work, after dinner the kids take a bath. We watch TV or play games together. Brush our teeth and the kids go to bed. Turn off the lights for the little ones while the older kids are playing, read or do something else before turning off the lights.
When they’re sleeping, at 8pm, I take a shower and have some ‘me time’ before asking my husband to go to the movies or something. I go to bed at 00 : 00-01:00 and baby Melanie wakes up a few times to get food and dry diapers several times before I have to wake up for a new day. She added :” Being a mother with many children is a huge job and dedication. Sometimes the feeling of fatigue embraces me even before breakfast. But children’s smiles and love are the best reward for taking care of them” . A big family is not for everyone, but do what you really want to, and create the time and everything else necessary to go for it.
